Overview

Verdict reads a discovery call transcript or notes and returns a weighted qualification card across eight dimensions. Scores above the lowest band require the buyer's own words, so seller optimism does not inflate the grade. It returns the weighted total, a grade, whether the deal is forecastable, and up to five gap-closing questions ordered by leverage. Two hard gates stop deals with no forcing function, no approver or no agreed pain from grading well. Built for pipeline reviews and deal inspection, not for coaching the rep.

Getting started

Requirements

No accounts, connectors or API keys needed.
A discovery call transcript, a recording summary, or typed notes.
Speaker labels, if you have them - Verdict scores buyer language differently from seller language, so it needs to tell them apart.
The call date, for the record header.

Steps

1Paste the transcript or notes. Verdict returns a scored card across eight weighted dimensions with the buyer's own line quoted beside every score, a weighted total out of 51, a grade, whether a hard gate fired, whether the deal is forecastable, up to five gap-closing questions in leverage order, and any structural risk flags.
2The rule that makes it useful: a dimension only scores above the lowest band on something the buyer actually said. Your own notes cap it at 1. This means your cards will read worse than the ones you write yourself - that gap is the finding.
3Two gates override the total. No compelling event plus no economic buyer caps the grade at C. No agreed pain caps it at D. Verdict will not lift a grade because you are confident; it will lift one if you point to the line in the transcript, so paste the line.
4Common mistakes on first run: pasting a summary with no attributable language (Verdict can only score what it can attribute); scoring Compelling Event on your own quarter-end, which is seller pressure and scores zero; expecting coaching feedback - Verdict assesses the deal, not the rep.
